Viborg Area Lions Scholarship Application

Have you dropped a can in the can collection bin by the Viborg Community Center lately?  If you have, did you know that you are helping a Viborg High School Senior pay for their higher education?  The Viborg Area Lions have been collecting cans from the community to support their scholarship program. 
This will be the forth year that a $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Senior of Viborg High School. 
Scholarship applications are currently being collected.  They are available at the Viborg School and also at the Viborg Area Lions website www.viborglions.org.
The criteria for determining the winner of the Viborg Area Lions Club Scholarship is academic achievement, personal recommendation and involvement in work, school, community and church activities and programs.
Viborg High School Seniors are encouraged make application which are due by March 31, 2012.  Thank you to all the community members who have “pitched in” their aluminum cans to support this project.

    The criteria on determining who will be awarded this scholarship will be based on the following requirements:

· Viborg High School senior (female or male) who plans on furthering their education after successfully completing their high school requirements.
· A GPA of 2.8 or higher and upper 50% of class
· Involvement in school/community/church activities and programs
· Employment history including home or farm work
· Letters of recommendation (2)
· All information must be included. along with your application signed, to qualify for the Scholarship
